The great escape!
It was a cold winter night (well actually, it was a warm winter night. 54 to be exact). The Foisy's had just settled on the couch, snuggled into each others arms to watch Angels and Demons after putting their two year old little sweet heart down for her beauty sleep when arose such a clatter! Screaming came from their princess's bedroom. Startled, they ran to her room to see what was the matter. To their dismay, their naughty princess had repeated a previous tactic to get out of her crib by throwing everything in her crib onto the floor. Then, she had a come apart screaming and crying for the things she had tossed over. Sadly, in the past few nights, this has become a nightly occurrence. So as we debated teaching her a lesson, we finally agreed that we would not pick up the stuff for at least five minutes so that possibly she would understand that if she throws that stuff overboard, we aren't going to run in and pick it up for her. So after shutting the door and priding ourselves for our fantastic parental skills, we stood in the living room waiting for the five minute mark when suddenly we hear the twisting of a door knob. Startled, my eyes went to the princess's door knob and sure enough, with in seconds she was running out the door begging for us to give her snuggles. THAT'S RIGHT, SHE ESCAPED! She has now climbed out of her crib and I was in complete shock. It truly freaked us out! Great! Is all I can say. I'm not ready for a big bed but mostly I really don't think she is so as cruel as it may seem, she may have a tent on top before too long. Aaaagh. I've been dreading this moment. My baby is gone :( She is now a big girl!

Oh the joys! That is where we are at with Addison too. We need to get her a bed, we just haven't made the time and effort to do it yet. She climbs out every morning, opens her door, and then comes and knocks on ours until we let her in. But she is also beginning to do this in the middle of the night. Yeah, totally not ready to deal with this one!
That's funny. Kids are bound and determined to get their way. I'm kind of glad that my boys never did that, but Jaedyn probably will. It's sad when they start to grow up, but it's fun too.
Uh oh! You know I have never had a child get out of their crib BUT it's probably because I put them in a bed at 20 months. It might be time for Avery? And just a tip for when you do the change. We turn the lock to the room around so we lock them in their room. Sounds horrible but A.It teaches them to stay in their room. Eventually they just think it's locked when really it's not anymore. B. I think it's safer. I would wake up in a panick, hearing someone downstairs, when really it was a little stink. Anyways hope it helps!
