Today..........
Today, I woke up grateful, grateful to take a breath, grateful to have a husband who lyes next to me each night and offers me his warm legs to press my cold toes upon, grateful to hear sweet laughter escape my two year old's little body while witnessing a beautiful smile upon her face. Today, I understood what matters and how blessed I truly am. I can walk, I can talk, I can worship in the Lord the way I please, I can be a mother a wife, a sister, a friend, a neighbor and most importantly a daughter of God. And the attitude in which I approach my blessed roles in life, is entirely up to me. They can be the greatest roles or the most trivial depending on my approach so today, my attitude has changed. Today, I will not be selfish but rather I will strive to be selfless. I will look at the faces of my daughter and husband in complete gratitude because they are the best faces in the world. I love my place in the world, and I will wake up each day with nothing but gratitude in my heart, thanking my Lord and Savior for another day of life with the wonderful family Erik and I have created.

Thanks for a great reminder Savannah! Very sweet post! And I totally know what you mean about the cold feet! Ryan can't stand it anymore, so he puts a heating pad in the bed and turns it on before I get in bed so I'll warm my feet on it and not him!
Thanks for the post! I really need to do more posts like that! Nate hates it when I warm my feet up on him, too!! ha ha, so funny! Husbands are the best!
Amen!
Ah! Savannah, you are THE BEST. I don't check your blog often enough, but when I do, it always puts a smile on my face. I hope you & Erik have an awesome Christmas! Avery is the cutest little girl & it IS an amazing to live each day with the people you love most in the world! Bryan says hi to "foisy." He says he was the funniest person he knew in the gaurd! Take care, all 3 of you! - M.J
