The great escape!

It was a cold winter night (well actually, it was a warm winter night. 54 to be exact). The Foisy's had just settled on the couch, snuggled into each others arms to watch Angels and Demons after putting their two year old little sweet heart down for her beauty sleep when arose such a clatter! Screaming came from their princess's bedroom. Startled, they ran to her room to see what was the matter. To their dismay, their naughty princess had repeated a previous tactic to get out of her crib by throwing everything in her crib onto the floor. Then, she had a come apart screaming and crying for the things she had tossed over. Sadly, in the past few nights, this has become a nightly occurrence. So as we debated teaching her a lesson, we finally agreed that we would not pick up the stuff for at least five minutes so that possibly she would understand that if she throws that stuff overboard, we aren't going to run in and pick it up for her. So after shutting the door and priding ourselves for our fantastic parental skills, we stood in the living room waiting for the five minute mark when suddenly we hear the twisting of a door knob. Startled, my eyes went to the princess's door knob and sure enough, with in seconds she was running out the door begging for us to give her snuggles. THAT'S RIGHT, SHE ESCAPED! She has now climbed out of her crib and I was in complete shock. It truly freaked us out! Great! Is all I can say. I'm not ready for a big bed but mostly I really don't think she is so as cruel as it may seem, she may have a tent on top before too long. Aaaagh. I've been dreading this moment. My baby is gone :( She is now a big girl!

Christmas card!!

Here is the Christmas card that I designed for us this year. I hope we get one out to everyone. If we don't, please don't take it personally. However, prepare for something a little different this year ;)

cApTuRiNg LiFe'S LiTtLe MoMeNtS!!!

Last night was a rough night! Avery didn't nap all day and was extremely tired. Erik and I believe she is beginning to hate the crib. Knock on wood but she has not tried to climb out however, she says, "stuck" all the time and wants out. She was so upset when I put her to bed. Erik, being the best daddy that he is, went and laid on the floor with her. She fell right asleep and this is what we captured. I'm telling myself it is not time for a toddler bed cause I'm not ready, but maybe it would be best for her.

Me and the best little helper in the world made some white chocolate popcorn for the neighbors for Christmas. Avery had so much fun but mostly, I think she just liked eating it.
The best kisses ever!!
The magic ingredient, a cute little two year old
and the finished product.
All I can say is, "rockin' around the Christmas tree!" I am extremely surprised
that Avery has left the tree alone. She just loves to look at it!

Little buddies. On Thursday's I watch my friends cute kiddies while she goes to choir practice.
Avery gets so excited to hang out with Dallin. Unless he is already knocking on the door, I can't tell her he is coming otherwise she runs to the door calling his name.

Today..........

Today, I woke up grateful, grateful to take a breath, grateful to have a husband who lyes next to me each night and offers me his warm legs to press my cold toes upon, grateful to hear sweet laughter escape my two year old's little body while witnessing a beautiful smile upon her face. Today, I understood what matters and how blessed I truly am. I can walk, I can talk, I can worship in the Lord the way I please, I can be a mother a wife, a sister, a friend, a neighbor and most importantly a daughter of God. And the attitude in which I approach my blessed roles in life, is entirely up to me. They can be the greatest roles or the most trivial depending on my approach so today, my attitude has changed. Today, I will not be selfish but rather I will strive to be selfless. I will look at the faces of my daughter and husband in complete gratitude because they are the best faces in the world. I love my place in the world, and I will wake up each day with nothing but gratitude in my heart, thanking my Lord and Savior for another day of life with the wonderful family Erik and I have created.

HaPpY tHaNkSgIvInG!!!!!!!!

So I know this post is a little late but as I previously stated, I slack when it comes to the blog! We had a great Thanksgiving. We went to my sisters house for a couple of days, ate Thanksgiving dinner with my fam then headed to Richfield to spend time with Erik's family. It was so nice to be able to be with family, especially the ones who live far away. We had fun eating at Pirate pizza, bowling and playing games till late. Those are the moments I am grateful for and will treasure always!!!

Please note fellow LDS buddies, that is not wine in my glass it is sparkling current juice! Tasty!!!

Oh and, we had such a fun enrichment activity last week! We hung out by the fire drank hot chocolate, ate snacks and just yapped away! Did I ever mention that I LOVE, LOVE my ward. These girls are the best and they have become such great friends. Love you ladies!!!!!!!
