Baby tagged by Kasidee Beams!

Baby Avery,
Me a few days before delivery!
And me the night before my c-section

1.Where were you when you first found out that you were pregnant?
We had just got home from a cruise and I was supposed to have my monthly bill on the boat, but didn't so Erik wanted to know right away!
2.Who was with you?
Erik
3.How did you find out that you were pregnant?
Pregnancy test but I had my suspicions on the trip.
4.What was your first reaction to finding out you were pregnant?
I was thinking, crap, am I really ready for this? Something is growing in there!!
5.Who was the first person you told?
I'm not sure who was the first. Erik and I just started calling our families.
6.Did you plan to get pregnant?
Yep!
7.Did you tell everyone else right away?
Yes, we couldn't keep it a secret. We were too excited.
8.Was everybody happy for you?
Yeah, I just remember my sister crying!
9.Did you go out and celebrate?
No, we were too exhausted from our trip.
10.Did you want to find out the sex?
Yes, there was no way I could have waited until the birth to find out.
11.What was the sex?
Girl but I could have sworn it was a boy!
12.Did anyone throw you a baby shower?
My sweet sister did.
13.Did you get any outfits at the baby shower that you just knew you wouldn't put on your baby?
Yes, but it wasn't intentional. She just grew too fast!
14.How much weight did you gain?
I gained 30 lbs.
15.Did you lose all of the weight that you gained?
Yes, I actually weigh a little less than I did when I found out I was pregnant.(Not much though, like a 4 pound difference!)
16.Did you get any stretch marks?
I didn't on my tummy but I did on my hips but now they're so light, you can't even see them.
17.What did you crave the most?
Um this is so gross. I craved salt and vinegar chips. I ate them till my lips burned from the vinegar. I would eat like a tube of them in a day! Ugh, I haven't touched them since.
18.Did you crave anything crazy?
I think that's pretty crazy, but other than that no.
19.Who or what got on your nerves?
Being so tired and feeling sick at night drove me crazy! 20.Did you have any complications during your pregnancy?
Yes, I leaked fluid a couple of times so she had to be monitored and I knew she was breach so they had to try and turn her. It was the worst pain I have ever endured and it didn't even work!! Then she ran out of fluid and the placenta stopped supporting her so she stopped growing at 5lbs and 11 oz.
21.Where and when did you go into labor?
I was at the hospital getting ready to have a c-section and my water broke on the chair right before going into the OR. I'm sure it was because I was so nervous.

My hubby!

Yes, lots of family and friends
35.Did the baby have any complications?

A trip to St. George

This weekend, we went to St. George for my one of my best friends, Dusty's, baby shower and tons of errands. Seriously, I love this girl. We have been friends since we were ten and I'm so glad we've been able to stay close. We lived together for two years before she left me for her hubby Brock. Lol. She is having a boy and she has the cutest tummy ever! I'm so excited for her to become a mommy. she will be great! Also, we hung out with my sis and took the kids to feed the ducks, then Erik's mom surprised us and came to St. George so she watched Avery and took her to the park while we went to a movie. At least we got to have a date among a pretty crazy weekend and that was much needed. I got to see people I hadn't seen in awhile and that's always nice. I love going home and I miss it a lot!My cute niece Kylie!! It was so funny, she was throwing whole pieces of bread in the water and the ducks were going nuts!

HERE ARE MY SIX HAPPY THINGS!!!

1-I'm happy when I get to spend the day with Erik and Avery. The two of them make me so happy! Plus, I love all the help with Aves. Let's face it, sometimes I just need a break!

2-The gospel makes me happy. I love that I have the truth in my life and I know that my family is forever!

3-I get extremely happy when I get Avery out of bed in the mornings. She always has a big smile on her face and there is no better way to start the day then with a smile from my precious girl!

4-Exercising makes me happy. Although I don't do as much as I would like cause I'm waiting for the Golds gym to get finished right by my house, I do go walking and when those endorphins get going, it sure does make me happy!

5-Having my time to do whatever I want which is usually reading. It makes me happy to escape into a world of fiction meanwhile escaping my somewhat boring life at home.

6- It makes me happy to see my husband succeed in school. He works so hard and does so well. He deserves to have a good career, plus I can't wait to reap all the benefits! ;)

I tag-Nicole(don't hate me for it!) Hannah, Chante, Mckenna, Angie, and Lyndsi Martin!

hApPy VaLeNtInEs dAy!

Happy Valentines day all! Today was the perfect day! Avery slept in till after eight, which rarely happens these days. Erik and I woke up at seven, laid in bed and watched a movie till she woke up. Then, I told him to stay in bed while I got a surprise ready for him and Aves. He had to work part of the day so I wanted to make him a big breakfast. I decorated the table, and made heart shaped pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs with cheese and juice. It was fun to have him come out and have it all ready. We got Aves this cute little Valentines frog and a bouquet of balloons which she loved and has carried around with her all day! Erik was so cute. While I was doing breakfast, he was getting my Valentines ready. We vowed not to buy each other a present this year so he made me this basket with these treats and ten hearts that told me ten reasons why he loves me. They were funny and cute. Then for dinner we got Panda Express and played with Aves at the park. It may not have been the fanciest Valentines but with my husband so busy with work and school, I couldn't have asked for more! It was great! Those two are the loves of my life and I'm just happy to spend time with them.

Mommy to be!

Baby Aves will make a good little mommy one day! On Sunday, she came out of her room holding her baby and her bottle. She kept trying to feed her baby. It's just amazing to me that she was doing that without seeing anyone do it. Kids are so observant. She even walks around patting it's back. I love watching her grow and learn new things. She is the biggest sweetheart!

All things Avery a.k.a little mischievous!

A little list of mischievous acts by our sweet pea!
First though here's Avery at the park with her new boyfriend Tristan!! Aren't they are so cute? Whenever she goes too far, he will go grab her hand and lead her back! My friend Crystal and I were laughing so hard. He's such a little helper. They play so good together. He's two and I'm already planning their wedding!
1-Lately, she has just been cracking me up or surprising me to know end! It's like over night she's doing something new. Whenever she wants to go out side, she goes to the front door and reaches for the handle. Of course, she can't reach but it's so funny to watch.
2-Next, she has this bear (a.k.a Mr. Bear! I don't know where the name came from.) that she sleeps with. No other kids are allowed to touch that bear or she will freak out. She uses him to her advantage though. One night she didn't want to go to bed so she threw him over board. I went in there to see what the fuss was all about, and she's looking down at him with her arms out crying. So I gave him back, she does this three more times. By the third time, I took him away. She really had a come apart but I did not give him back till she had fallen asleep then I put him back into her crib. Little stinker knew it would get our attention and we would come in there.
3-She has discovered how to open her closet. They just slide open so not too tough, but she used to get into some stuff in there that she wasn't supposed to so, I kept telling her no when she would get in there. Finally, I decided to put all the stuff she wasn't allowed to touch up high so that it wasn't a big deal if she opened it. But, she still thinks it's naughty so whenever she wants to get into her closet, she shuts her bedroom door. It makes me laugh cause that right there tells me she's getting into her closet. What a little schemer!!! I just love all of these new moments. It's so much fun!

Attack of the killer geese!

Saturday afternoon, we went to a place called Tule Springs Park. It has tons of ponds, geese, ducks, and peacocks. Avery was loving all those dang birds! I will admit, they made me a little nervous. They are so used to people feeding them that once they see you, they come running. I thought they were going to attack us. They were huge. Actually, I liked the peacocks the best. We had so much fun just letting Avery run around and chase these birds, but I have to laugh because after we were all out of bread, we were walking along a path and one of those geese reached out and bit Erik's leg, then it spit water all over him. It was sooo funny! It totally caught him off guard it was great! This place is definitely awesome for kiddies! Also, it was so funny cause whenever I would give Avery bread to throw, she would just eat it herself! She wasn't sharing! ha ha
