This was our cute little easter basket!!! Isn't she beautiful? Okay she is and she totally looks like Erik!!
Erik's family has a fun family tradition. Every year for easter weekend, we go camping at the Coral Pink Sand dunes. We always have so much fun. We went on a girls ride with just us girls and a couples ride with all the couples. We had a lot of fun and we were so glad to hang out with all the fam. We love you all so much!!

The significance of dreams???

Have you ever awoke after a dream wondering why did I dream of that, and why that person? Well I have and did last night. I dreamt I was walking through the mall and suddenly became surrounded by my peers from high school. It was almost as though we were all stuffed into an elevator without an inch between us. I remember looking around and thinking, I've really missed seeing these people every day. Then suddenly, I'm on a Vacation in Paris, with Emily Chadaz! ( I can't remember her new last name.) I haven't seen her since Michelle's wedding. We were just having fun in good ol Peri. When I woke up, I thought that was so strange!! I have no idea what she is up to in her life. Where is she? Does she have any kids? Does anyone know?

Tiny Twin Nieces!!

These are my cute twin nieces, Reese and Kaydence!!! My bro Andrew was blessed with these little cuties in October of last year!! They are fraternal but still very much a like!! I only wish I could see them in person. I love them and can't wait for Avery to meet her adorable cousins!!

Sleeping Just Like Daddy!!!

Because Avery is only four months and doesn't do a whole lot yet, I have to post all the cute pictures of her not really doing much. None the less, I think these pictures are so cute. She sleeps exactly like Erik! Her hands above her head. I never sleep like that, but I can't tell you how many times I have to move his elbows out of my face at night. She looks like Erik, sleeps like Erik. Is there any of me in there?

Bath time!!!

Erik, was getting Avery ready for a bath. She loves to be naked!! He had her smiling and giggling it was the cutest thing ever! I love watching Erik with Avery. He is the best dad. She loves him sooo much!

Seven things you may not know about me!!
This is tough but here it goes!!

1- I have my bachelor's degree in Psychology. When we move to Vegas, I want to do my Masters in Marriage and Family counseling. When my kids are all grown up and in school, I think it would be awesome to work part time at LDS family services.

2- For those of you who went to high school with me and notice these days something is a little different about me. It's true there is something different about me. It's my nose, I've had a nose job! But let me explain. I broke my nose when I was five, and I had a bone blocking the entire left side of my nose. So I couldn't breathe well. Also because of the break, I had a huge bump on the bridge of my nose. So they fixed the septum and the outside all at the same time. It was an awful surgery but I'm glad I did it. I no longer sleep with my mouth open.

3- I love to write. My friend Lori who I met in school while getting my bachelors, always made fun of me because I loved to write papers. Creative writing is so soothing to me. In fact, I'm writing a book. I hate to say that because I don't want to jinx it and it probably won't amount to anything but I really enjoy it. My mom can vouch for me. When I was little, I was always writing short stories.

4- My friend Nicole and I are trying to start a little business. It's too soon in the making and we're not sure how well it will work out but once I move to Vegas and I'm closer to her, we're gonna try and make a go at it. So I can't tell you what it is yet but if it works out, you'll all know.

5- I'm a history buff!! I love history. There is something so amazing about learning where we come from and what it has taken for us to get here. I really want to see all the old war sites like Getty's burg and pearl harbor. Jeruselem is definitely on my list of things I would like to see before I die.

6- I'm a huge Jazz fan!! It's true I love the Jazz. My dad always played basketball when I was growing up and he's a huge sport fanatic so I always heard sports in the background at my house so now I love watching the Jazz. Erik and I watch almost every game!

7- I had never seen the ocean in person till my honeymoon!! Crazy huh? So now all of my trips to the ocean have been with Erik. Now I'm kind of obsessed with going every summer. This summer we're headed to San Diego :)

She sleeps!!!

Thanks everyone for your advice!! All of it was really helpful. After reading all the comments, I realized it's not just about being constant at night, I need to be constant during the day. That was kind of tough for me because I wanted to come and go as I please, let her sleep in the car and not worry about sticking to a routine during the day. However, I learned that routine is the best. I've started to put her down about fifteen minutes before she should need her nap, I turn on her little mobile and she goes right to sleep. I've been doing this for the past few days and it's working like a charm. I can tell she loves routines because she does awesome at night. We do the three b's, bath, bottle, bed, and she goes right to sleep no fuss, and now she's going right to sleep during the day.

HELP!!!!!

Ok all you moms out there. I need your help. Avery is starting to fight taking a nap. It's not like the good ol' days when the newborn would just sleep whenever, wherever. She wakes up around 7:00 a.m. eats and hangs out till about 10:00. Then she starts getting fussy. I can tell she's tired, but she won't fall asleep. So I put her in her crib hoping she will go to sleep. Nope she screams even harder and louder. I thought I would let her cry it out a bit and nothing. So I went in there with a binki. These days she doesn't care for them she just spits it out and keeps fighting the sleep. It seems like I have to make her a little bit of a bottle just to get her to fall asleep. It drives me crazy!! She's not like this at night. She sleeps awesome. It's like she thinks she can't nap unless we're driving in the car or something. Does anyone have any tips?

ThE ArMy wIvEs!!!

These are my girls!!! Haylee, Nicole, Kasidee and me. Our husbands went to Iraq together. I didn't know them when the guys first left. I was so miserable at first and no one understood! I prayed for help. I decided to scrapbook Erik's Iraq pictures for something to do. I had never scrap booked before so I went to pebbles in my pocket. They had a section of paper dedicated to the military. As I stood there , I noticed a girl around my age looking at the paper too. I felt like I should talk to her. I asked if her husband was in Iraq too? She said yes! She asked me for my number. She called me and invited me to scrap book at Nicole's. I went and met all these girls. The lord had answered my prayers! I spent all my time with them. Mostly Nicole. They were my rocks. I love them so much. This past weekend we got together and had BBQ. We had to get Pictures of all our babies cause they are all close in age.
