The worst mom in the world!

I am officially the worst mom in the world. Last night, Avery was having a bit of trouble falling asleep. I just thought she was being a stinker because she did the same thing the night before, which is not normal for her. So, before I went to bed, I had gone in there to comfort her three times. I gave her motrin on the third thinking her teeth might be bothering her since she's getting three right now. She finally falls asleep but wakes up at 1:30, then 3 then 5, on the the three o'clock wake up, I gave her a bottle thinking she might be hungry. She didn't have a fever or anything. By the five o'clock wake up, I was annoyed. I could swear she was just being a pooper so I decided to let her fuss. Erik had to get up to go to work anyway so I asked him to go snuggle her. He went into her room and then I hear this, "Babe, she has throw up all of her and all over the bed." Ugh! I shot out of bed like a bat out of #$%& and sure enough, her throw up was everywhere. It looked like ricotta cheese. It was sour and so disgusting. We had to strip her entire bed, take off her clothes, give her a bath, and wipe down her crib. I felt so bad, especially after she threw up the second time in my hand. What a mean mom I am. I would have let her lay in throw up for how long? Good thing I sent Erik in. I seriously feel like the worst mom. Poor baby!!!

Savannah, you aren't the worst Mom ever, like your friend Amanda said, we all have stories that are similar. Kids are so upredictable!

Just don't step on her head and all will be fine! Hey! I'm glad you found me! I sometimes search to see if you're on myspace or facebook or anything, sweet!

I got your email, so I'll send a longer message there.

Hey Savannah,

Next week will be just fine. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you, it has been kinda crazy. We painted the babies room and got new carpet after the holidays and then this contraction thing started happening. So next week will totally be fine. We really do need to get together. It has been way to long. I have a doctors appt on wednesday morning and the visiting teachers are coming wednesday afternoon but other than that anytime will be great. Just let me know ahead of time! Talk to ya later

I really couldn't count how many times that's happened to us. Drew is weird too because he will just sleep in his barf. The only way we know he's thrown up is the stench we smell coming upstairs. Maybe that's why barf doesn't smell pretty. And there is nothing like the smell of curdled whole milk throw up! I even had a kid throw up that sick cottage cheese on the airplane floor, so we and everyone else got to smell it the rest of the way home, and there was a conecting flight after so I'm sure those people enjoyed the aroma as well. I have so many stories like that, now it's kind of funny. Don't be so hard on yourself, there's a reason babies don't have memories!

So, for some reason my blog list hasn't been updating when you post and I decided I hadn't heard from you in a while and decided to check on your blog and here you have two posts.....come on blogger what's up! Anyways, sad days about the throw-up. I would feel awful as well, but what do you do.....it happens! I remember Ava had the worst throw up night ever where I had to change her sheets I swear 20 times in one night! I hate throw up!

we have all been there:( its ok! besides its not like kids don't just cry some nights for really no reason, so you weren't being a mean mommy, just an exhausted one!

Oh Savannah, you are definately not a bad mom! Things like that happen all the time...I've had my share. She knows you love her, sometimes you just are at your wits end!

Your walls look way goo by the way!

I have you beat by a long shot...Tripp pulled down the flat iron and got burned 3 times on his lil' arm. So sad, he is a tough lil' guy and barely cried.

oh, that is the worst. I totally understand, it makes you feel horrible! But you're really not! Madi once did that, where she fussed for just a minute and was quiet again, so I didn't bother checking on her, I felt horrible when I saw the disgusting mess she had been sleeping in for hours! So sad.
